Arcane Joins the Khronos Group

Arcane Technologies is now a member of the Khronos Group which manages well-known API specifications such as OpenGL, OpenCL and WebGL. The Khronos Group is an international industry consortium  focused on the creation of open standard, royalty-free application programming interfaces (APIs) for authoring and accelerated playback of dynamic media on a wide variety of platforms and devices. Khronos members may contribute to the development of Khronos API specifications, vote at various stages before public deployment, and accelerate delivery of their platforms and applications through early access to specification drafts and conformance tests. Companies including AMD, Apple Intel, Imagination, Nvidia and Sony are all board members.

Being part of the Khronos Group is a perfect match for Arcane Technologies regarding our company expertise and vision.  We develop 3D interactive software applications as well as device drivers no matter onto which platform or operating system (PC, web, mobile, etc…).  We had the opportunity to work on various projects with different hardware vendors as well. We are proud to contribute to the maintenance and evolution of those industry-leading open standards that are powering innovation.

Mathieu Benoit, Director Business Development

The following is an exhaustive API and standards list managed by the Khronos Group:
