Arcane Technologies has sold a licence of its new showroom solution to Simard cuisine et salle de bains. This solution named Vortex will be installed in May 2012 in the Quebec based kitchen and bath cabinetry manufacturer facilities. Vortex is a 3D interactive virtual showroom solution sensing presence, the position and the gestures of customers facing it to allow them to interact with the virtual world. 3D contents will be created by our creative partner studio Syncro Innovation.

The Musée de la civilisation de Québec's springbreak week themed "FOLLEMENT TECHNO!" is coming up March 3rd through March 11th 2012, and for this event Arcane Technologies created an interactive experience in augmented reality inspired by the Chapeaux! exhibition. Arcane Technologies also collaborated to create Planète Pixels, an immersive and interactive experience using Google Earth.

Arcane Technologies has sold a Mirage HR unit to the University of Tennessee's Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Biomedical Engineering located in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. The Mirage Augmented Reality System includes a video see-through HMD, the MirageBuilder software suite and the MirageAPI library programming interface.

Arcane Technologies has developped a web AR experience for the Voilà Québec touristic guide printed and distributed in more than 225,000 copies in Québec City.

People go to the Voilà Québec website with their booklet in hand, and can see AR contents using their webcam. This contents, which is a part of Québec City's history, which is presented entirely using AR at the Centre d'Interprétation de la Vie Urbaine de Québec (see the CIVU website here).

Arcane Technologies will develop a new Circuit-Québec  self-guided walking tour mobile application on both the Apple platform, such as the iPhone and iPad, and Google Android as well. The actual Circuit-Québec tour is made of terminals located in Old Québec broadcasting short audio clips relating the city's historical and cultural heritage.
